Life has been generally good to me. After college I went to American University for 1.5 years - Scott Margules was a roommate. Transferred to BU and graduated with honors. Began my financial career at International Paper Company in NYC - changed jobs every few years moving up the ladder. Went to Rutgers for my graduate degree, passed the CPA exam. Kicked around consulting for a few years until I discovered a little biotechnology company up in Warren NJ. Joined as their Controller - 40th employee. Stayed there 10 years helping to grow the business into the multi-billion organization it is today, with over 2,000 employees. Began my retirement 3 years ago and am loving life.
Survived a bout with cancer 4.5 years ago - so everyday is a gift to me.
Married Leslie Raff from Westfield back in 1980. It's been a glorious 28+ years.
My oldest son Brad, spent his junior year attending college in Beijing China. The family made the trip there once to visit and I went back a second time. Standing atop the Great Wall of China was one of the more moving things I have experienced in my lifetime.
Spend my time tinkering with my boat, cooking and consulting 1-2 days per week. Try to travel as much as I can during the colder months.
